More than 130 people attended the 10th annual Hillsboro 2020 Town Hall celebration held May 20, 2010. Town Hall was promoted on television (Comcast and Univision commercials), in banners at SHARC and Civic Center Plaza, through Hillsboro water bill inserts and City Views mailings, and on the Hillsboro 2020 website and Facebook page. Features of this highly-interactive event included:

• Welcome from Mayor Willey
• Video and slideshow of past accomplishments
• Electronic polling and interactive discussion period
• Hillsboro 2020 Awards for Outstanding Organization and Individual
• Dot exercise for rating strategy and action proposals

The dot exercise enabled meeting participants to rate each strategy and action proposal as “high,” “medium” or “low” priority. About 90 individuals participated in the Town Hall exercise. Town Hall votes were later merged with responses to the community survey.
