Hillsboro 2020 Vision

Recognition

The City of Hillsboro received the League of Oregon Cities’ 2000 Good Governance Award for the Hillsboro 2020 Vision Project. The award recognizes city programs that encourage “reconnecting” citizens to their community.

In May of 2002, the Hillsboro 2020 Vision Project received the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Core Values Co-Project of the Year Award. Competing with projects from across the U.S. and in other countries, Hillsboro 2020’s award was based on the project’s extensive and innovative bilingual public involvement effort and the community’s efforts to implement the Vision.
