Citizen group responsible for keeping Hillsboro Vision on track

HILLSBORO, OREGON — The next meeting of the Hillsboro 2020 Vision Implementation Committee (VIC)  will be Monday, October 20 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Jackson Bottom Wetland Education Center, 2600 SW Hillsboro Highway.  The meeting is open to the public.

 

The VIC is charged with tracking the progress of the 114 projects and programs identified in the Hillsboro 2020 Vision, a community driven plan for the future of Hillsboro.  The plan  addresses a broad range of community issues including education, arts, environment, public safety, health and economic development.  More than 20 community organizations are actively engaged in carrying out the strategies identified in Hillsboro 2020. 

 

The committee  will be reviewing their work program for the coming year, revising a lead partner survey and identifying venues for their Speaker’s Bureau.  The VIC, a 20 person committee, has been active since 2000.  Representatives serve on the committee for 2 year terms.
